Birthday Celebrations in North Carolina - Oak Island

We decided to head down to North Carolina to celebrate my birthday. We were not up to a big trip but wanted to go someplace quiet and relaxing. I had taken Tim to Savannah a couple years ago and decided that it might be nice to show him a couple more of my favorite places in NC. We rented a beach house for the week on Oak Island where I spent many summers because of a good friend who had bought a place down there. We spent days on the beach enjoying the beautiful beach and touring local towns of Southport, Wilmington and Charleston. It was such a nice trip and exactly what we needed. I love this place and I think Tim does too at this point. We will be coming back for sure.
