I was going through some old envelopes of my Grandfathers and I found these old newspapers folded from Hickory in the 1930s. He must have tucked these away for souvenirs almost 100 years ago. My great grandfather was the mayor of Hickory N.C. and he owned the funeral home as well as a furniture store in town. I found these ads that were from relatives of my family who owned the textile mills and furniture manufacturers in town. Beautiful old ads. I am going to frame them and put them into the den.
