Easter 2023
We drove down to Tim's parents house for Easter. Tim's brother Paul and sister in law, Kathy came up with their son, Tom and his girlfriend, Sara. Ana, Carol and John were already there and Tim and I joined them. It was a small group but lots of good food options with a nice mix of traditional and Georgian. We ate on the back porch at a long table and enjoyed the sunshine. It was a beautiful day and John was so happy to see everyone. Paul and Kathy brought Sally their sweet dog up and little did we know it would be the last time we saw her as she passed a few weeks later, poor thing. What a sweet animal and lovely disposition. It was a nice day and we got back very late upstate.
Mexico City
Our first International trip since Covid. We were apprehensive and excited at the same time. We had booked one trip to Mexico City right before Covid and it got cancelled and we just decided to re-book it. We also wanted to go see some friends in San Antonio, Texas where I grew up. We booked tickets book ending San Antonio around the trip to Mexico City and it was absolutely perfect. It was awesome seeing all our old friends in SA. We ate a lot of Tex-Mex and BBQ while there - so damn good. Mexico City was beautiful and we had a great time. It was interesting getting our travel legs back and it took a day or so to get back into the hang of it but this was the perfect place to rejoin the world. The city is so massive it would take several trips to see everything and we plan to come back very soon.

March Market Week
Another home textiles market come and gone. Oh the drama, oh the stress, oh the silliness of it all.

Calm Before the Storm
This year has seen a pretty mild winter and then all of a sudden in the last couple weeks we got a couple snowstorms. Neither one of them was too bad but we have a foot of snow arriving on Friday. Pretty sunrise this morning after a day of snow.
Somebody's Big Birthday
It was somebodies big birthday this month and I forgot to post. I didn't forget to cook however. A full day of cooking with a delicious meal of Carne Asada and assorted goodies plus a little sheet cake to bring a smile to your face.
Local Art
Sometimes with all the snow and cold you slow down and have time to appreciate your surroundings. I love this mural on the side of Stewarts Dept. Store. Local artist and team of kids painted it on the side of a large store and it is so lovely to look at and captures the area that we live in so well.

Sookie Sunbathing
Sometimes it gets a little chilly for lil Sookie and she needs a lil warmth. I think she really loves the space heater.
