Missing Sookie and Atticus

It was such a quiet and sad summer without Sookie and Atticus. They passed earlier this year and the house just doesn't seem the same without them. I got lonely not seeing them watch us in the back yard from their window seat in the bedroom. They would sit there for hours watching birds and deer and chipmunks. Their tails twitching whenever they spotted a hummingbird buzzing around the flowers near their window. I couldn't stand it and printed out pics of them and taped them to the inside of the window so any time we passed they would still see their faces looking out. Loved them so much.

September Textiles Market

Market came and went very quickly. Lots of work but the bedding collections looked beautiful.

Sagamore and Uncle Jack

Beautiful weekend and we headed up to Glens Falls and picked up Uncle Jack and decided to go have lunch at the Sagamore Hotel in Lake George. We had never been there but had been dying to see it and it was such a gorgeous sunny day so perfect combination. We sat out at the lakeside grill and had hamburgers and enjoyed the views of the water and the hotel. Such a perfect weather day. I think Uncle Jack enjoyed himself.

Tim's Mom's Visit

We love having Tim's Mom up to the house and she came up for the weekend and we had a great time. Round Barn for Plants and Veggies, Farmers Village, Lunch in Cooperstown and a lovely dinner outside.

Loveliest Summer Ever

Despite a host of things going on - this was such a lovely summer. Despite what was going on in the world, we kept our nose in the garden and hosting family and friends and it paid off.
