Holidays

Still catching up with posts. Holidays were a little rough with the post knee surgery. Walking with a cane and just trying to make myself comfortable. Thanksgiving was delicious. Just Tim and myself at home because of knee. Cooked up a storm and we had bought some new holiday dishes that are so pretty so we really set the table despite it just being the two of us. Tim outdid himself. If you want to see him in his element - Thanksgiving is it. I think it took two weeks to get through all the leftovers. I worked on the cocktail and appetizers which were so delicious. Pacing the meal with a cocktail hour and aps and just relaxing our way into dinner. It was a great meal and nice quiet peaceful day. So nice. Christmas was messy with the knee and weather. Went down to spend Christmas Eve with Tim's Mom and see her sing with the choir at her church. We went out to the diner for a meal before church - it was so relaxed and hardy. Service was pretty and we went home and had some egg nog and went to bed. Tim's Mom made breakfast and then we drove back home in the afternoon stopping to pick up some Chinese food at a buffet in Kingston which was packed with people. Got home and crashed and watched a bunch of Christmas dvds and went to bed. Such a nice holiday.

Knee Surgery

So it was time. Waited for 40 years and I decided it was time. Surgery went great but have nothing but terrible things to say about the Orthopedics organization. Doing fine for a few weeks with physical therapy but then my left knee decides if the right knee gets done then its time for me too. Have to get some strength up to do the next one soon but not for the moment.
