Bovina Farmer's Market

Bovina Farmer's Market! Our first Farmer's Market Friday didn't get the best weather - rainy and in the 40's however it did offer a lot of new excitement. The Livestock Foundation which is a Bovina funded organization whose role is to restore and build for the benefit of the community. Their latest project among many was to build an outdoor pavilion that could be used for Farmer's Market but also for public use and a vendor space for Bovina Dairyman baseball games. The pavilion is awesome. Huge covered space and a kitchen that can be used for guest food vendors and lots of picnic tables and space for craft and food vendors. We get there early at 4 - it has become a ritual in the summer to partake of the featured food vendors and buy local bread, donuts, meat, produce and all we need for the weekend. This weekend featured this Chinese food vendor and we bought Korean beef pineapple tacos and the best pineapple fried rice we have ever tasted. We bought donuts from our favorite couple - Carol and Tim who make the best apple cider sugar donuts! One of our neighbors has a farm and we bought pork Osso Bucco for Saturday night dinner from him. Lots of beautiful crafts to look at and music to boot. Summer begins!

Theatre Weekend

My cousin, Sadie came down for a weekend of theatre. We are all big fans of local community theatre and we had a couple shows to go see. One was Anything Goes in Oneonta and then a SUNY Delhi production of Legally Blonde. Thai food for dinner on Saturday and then the show and then brunch in Delhi at Blue Bee before Legally Blonde. Very fun and we so enjoy each others company and mutual love for the performing arts.
