Catiki Party

Friends of ours, Fifi and Brett threw a fabulous party last weekend. They called it Catiki - obviously a tiki party in the Catskills and it was a blast. Lots of fun neighbors and a beautiful evening and great food, drink and conversation. Awesome.

John and I have known each other since we are 19 years old. We did a lot of theatre together years ago in San Antonio. We have remained close all our lives. He is family. He works as a stage manager for a number of theatres across the country. This year he has been working a lot in Philadelphia which is so nice because it just means we can see more of each other. I hope he stays for awhile on the East Coast. He came up for a visit and we had such a lovely few days.

Summer

Despite the bizarre weather this summer and all that is going on - the house and garden look beautiful. I love our life here.

Putt Putt Van Winkle

We got to compete in a miniature golf tournament with our two friends, Fifi and Brett. It was hilarious. I have never played golf so I was terrible but it was fun nonetheless. So much fun.

Karen and David

Two of my oldest friends came to the city and Bovina for a couple weeks to sightsee, see some shows and see me, Tim and Bovina. We saw Some Like It Hot and Goodnight Oscar - both of which were awesome. We had dinner at Marseille, pizza at John L's and then we did Cooperstown, Walton, Olana, and had an awesome visit. I love these two people. I know David and Karen since high school and we went to college together. It is an amazing friendship and I love that we are still the same whenever we see each other. So much fun.

Klimt

Tim's sister decided to coordinate a family get together to go see an immersive art show called Klimt in the city. We all met downtown at this beautiful old bank and saw the show. It was beautiful and amazing. The photography in the space combined with the beautiful selection of opera arias was lovely. Afterwards, we went and had lunch at this upscale food court. It was such a nice day with family and beauty.
