Walton Theatre

We decided to go see a movie today and rather then drive over to Oneonta where we were yesterday, we decided to go to Walton where there is a beautiful old theatre/moviehouse that just recently was renovated. What a beautiful surprise. There were only about 2 dozen people in the audience for a Sunday afternoon, the tickets were much less then what we normally pay in the city or even in Oneonta and it was such a great experience. Beautiful view up in the balcony with built in tables next to the original seats which is unusual. We were there to see the new Whitney Houston bio and the screen is huge and the speaker system great. We loved it - it will become a regular excursion!

Christmas Eve at Marseille

Tim and I decided to run around the corner to one of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood - Marseilles. We had such a nice time, the food was great, we had such a great table. It was lovely. Merry Christmas.

Christmas Week

What an amazing week. It has been so nice. Trips to Moma, the Whitney, the Guggenheim, Rockefeller Center, John Derians, Ralph Lauren, Saks (Annick Goutal), Washington Square, and theatre - the Music Man with Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, Funny Girl with Lea Michelle and a jazz night at the Blue Note with Chris Botti (thank you Ana!). Such a nice time. Christmas week has been lovely.

Sookie says Merry Christmas

The cats seem so happy being back in the apartment in the city. Atticus is calm and sweet and Sookie seems so serene.

Christmas Week for Foodies

We decided to pack up the cats and head down to the city for Christmas week. We haven't been in the city for months and maybe the snow pushed us a little but a little theatre and culture for a week. We live in Hell's Kitchen with every kind of food imaginable at our fingertip so it's been tough on us lil foodies to not be able to have access to food delivery and being able to eat anything we want. We had so much fun this week, sushi at Haru, Tex-Mex at Dos Caminos with Paige, Deli food at Katz's del with Pam and Peter, Chinese food in Chinatown at Pings, Italian cookies in Little Italy, Philippine food at a new place in Hell's Kitchen, and an amazing meal at Eataly. It was pretty amazing. NYC has so much to offer. Yummy!

Transom

Finished working on the transom like header to the back hallway. It turned out so nice.

Bovina Candles

We were in this store called Delco in Delhi. They sell these Bovina candles. The candles from Walton smell like the Delaware County Fair - sweet popcorn and candy. However, when you go to smell the Bovina candle - if you look at the ingredients - it's manure oil, hay and grass, hmmmmm. Not butter, not cream? It's funny but not the nicest smell.
