Finished Door Headers Finally !
I have been working on adding these vintage architectural salvage door headers to most of the doors in the living room, back hall and back mud room. They have been going so well, I was pleasantly surprised how easy they were until I had a snafu on one door. It slowed me down a little bit but I was determined to get them finished this weekend. Got the last two up and so happy with them. Now onto my next woodworking project!
July 4th Yard Sales
Walton had yard sales town wide so we drove over to check it out. There were so many yards filled with kids stuffed toys and bad home decor but we managed to find a couple places and a new store called Yolo which just opened that we love. At Yolo we bought this beautiful hand made crochet flag throw - really beautiful and so much work involved. Then we hit a couple yard sales and I picked up this huge turkey sized Ironstone platter (cheap), a set of small binoculars for bird watching, this little mesh box someone had made and a vintage 70s printed pitcher. Quick drive through Hamden and picked up some bread at Birdsong Community Garden and then headed home to do some gardening and clean out the woodshop and storage shed. Tim made smash burgers for dinner which were quite good.
